How do I know which division to register my child in?
All levels are determined by birth year. Baseball Alberta has renamed each level this year and now goes with the following:
What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be considered on a case by case basis. The board will consider the reason for withdrawal, along with the timing of the withdrawal when determining if a refund is applicable. Please note that refunds may be subject to a 10% administrative charge.
Do you have T-Ball?
Traditional T-ball doesn’t exist within BMBA. For the younger kids (5,6,7) we run our Rally Cap program. This mainly consists of skill development in a fun atmosphere as opposed to playing actual games.
Can I register my daughter in baseball?
BMBA welcomes both boys and girls, although Beaumont does also have a Fastball Association (Beaumont Blitz) which many of our girls have moved to.
Can I request that my child play on the same team as another child?
BMBA will not honor requests to play with others, with the exception of siblings.
My kid is very skilled and quite mature for his/her age, can I register them in a higher level?
No. At least initially, please register in the age appropriate level. You may make a request with the director of division you wish to play in. If there is room once registration closes and skills have been evaluated, you MAY be able to switch to a different level.
Why does the AA registration cost more than the house registration?
The initial registration fees include a $50 evaluation fee.
Why is Waitlist/AA my only option in my requested division?
The House Division you are trying to register for is full. You will be contacted in the event a spot is available. Please ensure you do complete the registration forms for the Waitlist as we use the date/time stamp to determine priority.
What does the “level-up” fee go towards?
This fee helps pay for the extra costs associated with AA baseball. Please refer to our AA Information Document for more details
Is there an option to pay in installments?
At this time installments are not available. In the event you are in a position of financial hardship, please contact the registrar, firstname.lastname@example.org
I indicated that I am willing to coach/manage. How do I know if I’ve been selected?
AA- Head coach will be determined after review of all Coaching application forms, in mid March. Head coach will then choose his/her assistants and manager(s) based on teams and indication on registration form.
House: All division directors will have list of willing volunteers and will contact you prior to the season beginning
My child wants to tryout for AAA with another association, is there anything I have to do beforehand?”
If Trying out for AAA with another association please register (free of charge) on our website first. Select the appropriate Division, and choose Tryout/Release Registration. This will allow us to release player if successful at tryouts and will also hold a spot for player within our association.
My child is going to be playing another spring/summer activity in addition to baseball. Can he/she still be considered for a AA team?
AA Baseball at all levels is a significant commitment for players and families. Through this commitment, players will see a substantial increase in the development of their baseball skills and continue to grow their passion for the game. While BMBA encourages players that commit to the AA Program consider what conflicts may arise by participating in other spring/summer activities, we welcome all players to be evaluated and be considered for a spot on a AA team. Participation in other spring/summer activities and potential conflicts that may arise may be one of several considerations when creating our teams.
What equipment is needed to play?
Basics: Glove, jock/jill strap, shoes (cleats are recommended but not required)
Optional: bat, personal catchers equipment, batting gloves

Is a uniform provided?
11U-18U hat provided, jersey will be provided but must be returned at end of season, player must have grey baseball pants (red socks and red belt are suggested)
9U and Rally Cap hat and t-shirt style jersey are provided (to keep), baseball pants not required but are allowed
The AA's will be wearing white pants (house league will wear grey pants)
Are we required to do any fundraising this year?
No. The association will not be doing a fundraiser this year. That being said it is not uncommon for individual teams to do their own fundraising to cover additional costs
My company is interested in sponsoring a team or division, is this an option?

Are we required to Volunteer?
Volunteering is not required, per se, but there will be times when you are called upon to help, such as during tournaments or winter camps.
There are often positions on the board that are available as well for those interested. Look under “Contact” on webpage for a list of available positions.
