BMBA Winter Camp 2019

Jan. 18, 2019

BMBA is extremely excited to announce our winter camps for our Mosquito - Midget age groups.

We have taken our winter camp to the next level in 2 ways:

1.) The Facility: we have been able to secure a fantastic facility, the new Edmonton Soccer Dome located on the south side of Edmonton, 3105 - 101 Street SW. Fully turfed with the ability to use real baseballs.

2.) The Progam: We have partnered with Complete Game Baseball and John Sutherland to bring our ball players a program that will help provide players with a meaningful winter camp to enhance their current skill sets. As well as give our coaches a means to develop by being involved and learn how to develop their players once the season starts. John’s coaching resume can be found as an attached document. When registering, you will not have the ability to choose which session. Our goal is to split by age groups but we need to wait until we see what we have for registrants before we assign sessions. Likely our Mosquito aged players will be in Session 1.

Cost: The cost for this winter session will be $150. With 12 hours (8 - 1.5 hour sessions) that works out to $12.50 / session.

Call out to Coaches: In order for our winter camp to be a success we do require help from our coaches. We understand that not everyone can commit to all of these sessions. Our registration capacity will depend on the number of coaches that we have committed to help John Sutherland. In order to give those players that register an experience with quality instruction, we have coach to player ratios that we want to ensure are in place. Those coaches that do commit will be asked to take part in a Coach session in Beaumont prior to the camps starting to allow John Sutherland to go over the program. They will also receive a coach manual that can be used to help with their own development as well.

Please email: vicepresident@beaumontminorball.com with the dates that you are available to help.

How to Register: Go to the BMBA website - beaumontminorball.com and click on the baseball tab and then the registration tab.

Registration will open December 10.

Rookie Level Winter Camp Communication will be out soon regarding our winter camp for our Rookie level ball players. This camp will take place within Beaumont. BMBA understands that at this time of year many kids are involved with other activities and we do not wish this camp to interfere with those activities. For those families that are able to fit this baseball winter program into their schedules we look forward to seeing you. Baseball is a rapidly growing group within Beaumont and BMBA is committed to growing our association at both the House and AA levels.

Thank you to those families who are already part of our association and we look forward to welcoming any new families who look to try the great game of baseball.
